Friday 31st March - First game of the new season - Leek Birchall (Away).
As always, a most enjoyable day at Leek with excellent company, a closely fought game followed
by a very good meal.

Wednesday 5th April - Macclesfield (Away).
Another good away day ended with a halved game.
Thanks for the hospitality shown to us.

Thursday 20th April - New Mills (Home).
First home game of the season ended with our first win.
A good game of golf and an excellent meal to follow.
Result:- B & HP 5.5 - New Mills 2.5
Thursday 27th April - Leek Westwood (Home).
This match was rearranged from the original date & it finished with a win for the home team.
A day enjoyed by all was followed by a superb carvery provided by our chef Steve.
Result:- B & HP 5 - Leek Westwood 3
Wednesday 10th May - Congleton (Away).
A warm & sunny day at Congleton, another close game ending in a halved match.
Result:- Congleton 4 - B & HP 4
Tuesday 16th May - Leek Westwood (Away).
This match was cancelled due to heavy rain & has been rearranged for Thursday 27th July.
Wednesday 24th May - Ashbourne (Home)
The games against Ashbourne are played with only 6 pairs & not the usual 8.
Played in excellent weather, a most enjoyable day was had by all.
Super company followed by a super meal.
The home side won by a 4.5 - 1.5 margin.

Thursday 1st June - Leek Birchall (Home)
In good weather conditions a closely fought game was enjoyed by all.
Comments were made complimenting the condition of the course so thanks to the greenstaff for
their good work.
An excellent carvery followed & the game ended in a drawn match.

Wednesday 7th June.
Buxton & HP v Chesterfield.
In dry but very windy conditions the home team had a superb result with all the
games being won.
Result: Buxton & HP 8 Chesterfield 0
Friday 16th June.
Buxton & HP v Reddish Vale.
A fine day & a good competitive match ended with a win for B & HP.
An excellent meal followed & everyone enjoyed the day.
Result: Buxton & HP 5.5 Reddish Vale 2.5
Wednesday 21st June.
Buxton & HP v Ormonde Fields.
Ormonde Fields could only provide 12 players for this fixture and in hot & sticky weather the home side
had a good win.
The excellent condition of the course was commented on. Thanks again to the greenstaff for their hard work.

Tuesday 4th July. New Mills v Buxton & HP.
After a drizzly start the weather improved & turned into a cloudy but warm day.
Another entertaining game ensued & Buxton & HP had a good away win.

Thursday 13th July, Stamford v Buxton & HP
Stamford golf course was in excellent condition with some very difficult greens when
Buxton & H P Seniors played on 13th July. The home side won the match resulting in
only the second defeat of the season for Buxton & H P Seniors.
Result:- Stamford 5 Buxton & H P 3.
Monday 17th July, Buxton & HP v Macckesfield
Buxton & H P Seniors played Macclesfield Seniors at home on a super summer day on 17th July.
The course was, again, in excellent condition & the home side had a very good win.

Thursday 3rd August, Buxton & H P v Congleton.
In tricky conditions on a windy & showery day Buxton & H P Seniors
had a good home win against Congleton Seniors.

Tuesday 15th August Reddish Vale v Buxton & HP
In warm & sunny weather, the seniors enjoyed an excellent day
away at Reddish Vale. The course was in very good condition and Buxton & High Peak
Seniors triumphed in a close game.

Thursday 24th August Buxton & HP v Stamford
The home game played in good weather conditions against Stamford Seniors resulted in an
excellent victory for Buxton & High Peak Seniors.

Wednesday 30th August Chesterfield v Buxton & HP
Buxton & High Peak Seniors were entertained by Chesterfield Seniors on an excellent course played in
pleasant weather. A closely fought game ended with a creditable drawn match.

Thursday 21st September Ashbourne v Buxton & HP
On a pleasant autumnal day at Ashbourne Golf Club Buxton & High Peak Seniors had
a most enjoyable day followed by an excellent meal.
For this fixture we only play with 6 pairs on each team & Buxton & High Peak had a very
good away win.

Thursday 28th September Buxton & HP v Glossop
Buxton & High Peak Seniors played their final home game of the season against Glossop
Seniors on 28th September. The game was played on a beautiful day and the result
was an emphatic win for the home side. Buxton & High Peak completed their home fixtures
with 10 wins & 1 halved game.
