The golf course offers outstanding views of The Peak District just 1 mile from the centre of town and the train station. There is something to suit everyone from the seasoned veteran, to the aspiring young golfer in your family.

Golf in Buxton at Buxton & High Peak Golf Club

Buxton & High Peak Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-69 golf course on the edge of Buxton in Derbyshire. Founded in 1887, the course combines the character of an inland links with outstanding views across Buxton and the Peak District.

Built on free-draining limestone, the course is known for remaining playable in a wide range of conditions. At 5,877 yards from the white tees, it provides an enjoyable but testing round for experienced golfers, occasional players and visitors to the Peak District.

Visitors, Members and Golf Societies Welcome

Visitors can book individual tee times online, while tailored packages are available for golf societies, corporate groups and larger parties. Current visitor green fees start from £20 during the 2026 summer season, subject to tee time and availability.

Membership options include full, five-day, age-related, country, student, junior, social and six-month trial membership.

During the 2026 summer season, off-peak visitor green fees start from £20 on weekdays and £25 at weekends. Prices depend on the tee time, season and booking conditions, so please check the current green-fee page or online booking system.

Yes. Visitor tee times can be booked through the club’s online BRS booking system. Groups and golf societies should contact the club directly to discuss package options

Yes. Packages can be arranged for societies and groups of ten or more players. Golf, food, competition arrangements and presentation space can be tailored to suit the group.

Club buggies are available to hire, subject to availability and course or weather conditions. Advance booking is recommended.
