DRESS CODE: Guidelines

Buxton and High Peak Golf Club welcomes everyone to our clubhouse and golf course. Members, our guests and visitors should be reasonably dressed and are encouraged to follow these guidelines.

In the Clubhouse

Smart casual dress is encouraged in the Clubhouse. However,

 Jacket, shirt & tie should be worn by gentlemen who are to be presented with a prize at Captains Day / Presidents Day and the Gents Presentation Night. At other presentations, smart casual dress is acceptable. Traditionally, ladies dress smartly for presentations. 

 Smart tailored or cargo shorts can be worn.

 Waterproofs should not be worn in the bar or dining room.

On the Course

Everyone involved in golfing activities on the course are encouraged to wear appropriate golfing clothes and footwear.

The following are discouraged on the course.

• Blue denim jeans, track suits, emblazoned t-shirts or vests.

• Shorts primarily designed for other sports i.e. football.

The Council appreciate members, guests and visitors honouring these guidelines which may be modified for specific occasions by the Council, Captain or President. We thank you for respecting our historic golfing environment.
