Guidance for members regarding dog walkers
Guidance for Golfers: Dog Walkers on the Course
Maintaining good relationships with our neighbours is an important responsibility of golf club members. One regular source of conflict has been with dog walkers on the course.
Members are asked to politely encourage dog walkers to consider their own safety while walking their dog and to avoid walking on parts of the course which may put them at risk.
While there is insurance in place covering members and visitors in the event of causing injury to a dog walker (or anyone walking on the course), the Council remain confident that many walkers are unaware of the risk to which they are exposing themselves.
As such, a gentle and courteous reminder is in order.
Thank you.
